In 1984, my friends and I took two trips from Seattle to the Tacoma Dome – first to see Genesis, then Rush. In both cases, we went over 24 hours early and spent our time filming absurd vignettes in the hotel rooms, restaurants, shopping malls, and streets of pre-gentrification Tacoma.

After Matt found the original Super 8 film reels in 2021, we remastered the whole thing. During that process, I realized that there were some genuinely funny moments on those reels… unfortunately padded by hours of stuff that would only be of interest to me and the friends who were there with me. So what you have here are 20 minutes of things that still make me laugh. Or cringe.
